Kaitlyn Samson is a Research Project Officer with Action Against Hunger Canada, where she has supported the piloting of SMART+ in South Sudan as well as other research projects in collaboration with the U.S. CDC as well as the University of Toronto. Before joining Action Against Hunger Canada, she worked at the SickKids Centre for Global Child Health in Toronto where she supported the Exemplars in Family Planning and Anemia projects. She holds an MSc in Human Nutrition from the University of British Columbia, during which she led a large randomized controlled trial in Malaysia to investigate the efficacy of once-weekly iron and folic acid supplementation for the prevention of neural tube defects and anemia among non-pregnant women of reproductive age.
