Fanny Cassard is a Nutrition Information and Assessment Specialist at ACF-Canada. As an experienced Nutrition Monitoring Specialist with 15 years of practical field experience, in both development and emergency settings, she supports implementation of nutrition assessments and strengthening of nutrition information systems. As a SMART expert, she participated in the development of the UNHCR SENS Guidelines Version 3, and SMART+ questionnaire. She conducted, and technically supported, an important number of surveys using the SMART methodology, at small-scale and national level, as well as SENS surveys among IDPs and refugees. She holds a master’s in public health and nutrition from the University of Montpellier. Her professional experience spans technical support for survey implementation, M&E, training, capacity building and guidelines development in the areas of nutrition, child health and humanitarian assistance. She has worked in NGO (ACF) and UN sectors (UNICEF, UNHCR, WFP) and her field work experience includes numerous countries in Africa.
